I wrapped up our 2022 flying with a wonderful flight on 30 December with my oldest son!  The weather wasn’t great so we decided to stay in the local area to do a little sightseeing while Robert knocked off the rust. We played around with a few maneuvers and then shot on instrument approach into BTV before returning to FSO to wrap up the year.

This definitely was one of our best RV years yet with multiple bucket list trips, Martha Vineyard MA, the NY VFR Corridor, Portland ME, Winter Haven FL, Hatteras NC, Ocracoke Island SC, Bethany Beach DE, College Park MD (DC) and Gettysburg PA.  In addition, we made numerous trips to Augusta GA, Hampton NH and Worchester MA to visit the kids.  The RV did suffer a few issues that caused me concern including multiple oil leaks and high oil temps.  But with help from the airport community, I was able to solve the majority of the oil leak issues and continue to work the marginally high oil time issues.

Overall, it was a great flying year with 139.95 RV10 hours logged.
